Sneak Peak: A Whimsical Spring, 2017

If you’ve set your date for spring 2017, chances are you’re in the throes of the planning process. Last week, we took a look at what to expect for fall and winter weddings of 2017, and this week we’d like to focus on spring 2017. We’ll start with décor; here’s a look at what we may be seeing a lot of after the winter has passed.

Contrasted bouquets. Bright colors paired with different shades of bright whites will make your color pop and that much more noticeable.

Signature cocktails. We may see more complimentary beverages at weddings for spring 2017 as we veer away from last spring’s much desired rosé. These beverages are most likely going to follow the theme of the season as well as compliment the overall atmosphere of the event.

Pastels. Light whimsical colors are hopefully going to be making their big comeback this fall. Teetering on borderline Easter pallets, with the right shades of pastels, this look will scream spring elegance.

Gold accents. This is something we have seemingly been noticing all year round and doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon; as we hope it doesn’t! Gold has been flowing effortlessly from season to season, as it is the perfect complement to almost any of the bold colors that have been trending, such as mustard yellow, rich shades of peacock blue, plum, and burgundy. Pastels with touches of gold create a well-rounded spring affair, making you feel like you’re in 18th century Versailles.

Garden parties. There’s nothing that shouts “spring is here!” like a good old fashioned garden party! We’re bound to see plenty of venues with beautiful stone walkways and English gardens accompanied by soft candlelight—and we can’t wait!
