2017 Spring Showers bring May Flowers…& Fashion

As we dream about floating into the light breezes that spring 2017 will bring, we specifically float into the world of spring bridal fashion for today’s topic. The runways have been showcasing a lot of individuality, personality and unique looks as of late, leading to promising gowns to walk aisles all over the world this spring. Let’s have a gander, shall we?

More color. We’re expecting to see much more blush pinks and light gray tones. Variations of white will be prevalent as well. Most brides are looking to move away from the conventional bridal look to something a little bit more unique and fun, without completely ditching tradition altogether.

Backless. We’ve seen a few backless stunners over the past year, but this trend may pick up with deep backless gowns in the months to come. The runways have been filled with gorgeous variations of this style waiting to adorn spring brides the coming year.

3D Flowers. Whimsical 3D flowers placed tactically across overlays will be making an appearance again this spring in a much more prevalent way.

Plunging necklines. Brides will be tempted to take a dive with tasteful plunging necklines. Outlined by delicate lace, this gives the gown a whimsical and dainty feel, leaving the bride promenading like a princess through her very own fairytale.

Tasteful ruffles. When you hear the word “ruffles” you don’t automatically think fashion forward, but in this case, the ruffle is a gorgeous addition to a beautiful gown. Light layering of ruffles will be making a conscious effort to be noticed this spring.

Capes. We’ve been seeing quite a few capes in Hollywood, but nobody presumed they’d be making their way to a ceremony near you. Since this has been trending as of late, many designers have been using their talents to incorporate gorgeous capes into the bridal scene. This spring, think; less veil, more cape.

The Oversized Bow. I believe bows are the most understated feminine touch in the fashion world. Thanks goodness their making a comeback! Oversized bows on low hanging backless dresses are sure to be seen in the coming months, giving brides everywhere a little pep in their step.
