When thinking about having a destination wedding Kylee + Nic took a chance on a venue they slightly remembered and it turned out to the best decision ever.
I first met Kylee three years ago when she came to my house with her best friend aka the bride to look at our rental inventory. I knew I liked Kylee (the Maid of Honor) right away and that would get along quite nicely. Then when Kylee got engaged she called me and we got to work finding the perfect destination wedding location. When Kylee first mentioned Casa Dorada in Cabo San Lucas, I started doing my research and indeed it was the perfect spot for her and Nic to say I Do.
I was lucky enough to go visit the venue 9 months before the big day to finalize details.
For this Mexico wedding, the couple to hire Oak and Fig Floral to be their florist and what he created was truly an ode to Mexico. We had such a fun time sourcing materials for their tablescape include runners for their beautiful wood tables along the shops in Cabo. We found these incredible blankets that I cut into runners combined with the incredible floral creations housed in hand-painted pots. The final table design was complete fresh cut fruit for a very lush reception space.
What I love most about destination weddings it is more than just one event. Kylee + Nic wanted to make their Mexican adventure truly unforgettable with several events for their 43 wedding guests. From the welcome event on the beach to a Seahawks and Cougars viewing parties, the wedding was just the capper event and what a wedding it was
Three months later, the couple once again donned their wedding dress and suit and celebrated at Jet City Winery with their family and friends for their Seattle Reception. It was a great time for the couple to relive their big day and do their official cake cutting as the couple saved this wedding tradition for their Seattle reception.
