Science fiction | Monte Cristo Ballroom | Alicia + Jeff

Lori and her team are amazing. She was always so easy to get a hold of, she took care of any concern I may have had. She came to every meeting I asked her to. The wedding day went off flawlessly and I could not have been happier.

We always love when we get to work with families more than once for their wedding needs. It was 4 years ago when we were first introduced to this wonderful family and were so blessed they called upon us once again for their other daughter’s wedding.

With 4.5 months to finish off all of their plans for their June wedding we quickly sprung into action creating a mood board flushing out the bride’s vision and how best to accomplish it with the time allotted. Helping to round out a cracker jack vendor team, we executed all those little details that were the most important to the couple.

The main focal point of the wedding design was the fireplace which was the backdrop for the ceremony. Once again teamed with Laurel’s Floral Decor, I know she could really knock it out of the park combing all of the bride’s wish-list which included greenery, flowers, candles and books to make for a romantic spot to say I Do. And Laurel did not disappoint!

Continuing with the theme surrounding the fireplace, Laurel create a beautiful greenery wreath which provided for the perfect base for the centerpieces topped off a handmade geometric candle holder.

The day was filled with love, laughter, confetti and bubbles truly defined a successful wedding and a very happy couple.

This day was just perfect and we are so excited for Jeff + Alicia!

Cancelled wedding turned into a dream wedding | Suncaida Resort | Hanna + Paul

I can't imagine not having Lori. As the mother of the groom I wanted someone who could make sure everything got done. Lori was amazing, we were in a unique situation where the wedding venue double booked and 8 weeks before we had to find a new location. I don't know what we would have done without Lori. She helped coordinate a new wedding in a time crunch. Best investment in your wedding day is a wedding planner!

When you receive an email from your bride telling you her venue just cancelled on her 2 months before her wedding what do you do? Well first, I had to read her email a few times to make sure I was reading it correctly then I immediately called Hanna to see what happened.

And yes indeed the bride received an email from her venue and quickly I went into action to find out what happened. Within minutes I had the venue manager on the phone who apologized and offered us a few options which included rescheduling their wedding until August (nearly 2 months after their original date and wedding invitations were out as well as vendors contracted for their May date). The biggest issue was this was a destination wedding and they needed a venue which could house nearly all of their wedding guests, oh and this wedding was the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend.

After speaking with my couple who had decided they wanted to keep their wedding date, I was on the phone with more than 20 venues from around the area inquiring about availability. We were beyond blessed to have found Suncaida Resort which had everything our couple needed and more.

Never once did I ever let my couple get discouraged or upset, I knew we would have a wedding on their date and it was going to be the dream wedding they had wanted.

Within days we had secured our new venue and we were up and running and I have to say all of our vendors were so great in the new venue change which was so helpful.

Wedding weekend finally arrived and then we were faced with a new concern….rain. After their rehearsal we decided based on the cold and impending rain we would stick with an outdoor ceremony, which was the most important thing for the couple and move the reception inside which was the best decision we could have made.

I am so happy that we could make Paul and Hanna’s dream wedding happen. What I took away from this wedding was during their marriage license signing, Hanna said this was the wedding she never thought she could had and it exceeded all of her expectations.
