I knew the first moment I met Megan that her and I were going to have a lot of fun planning her wedding and boy I wasn’t wrong. Working together for almost a year before their said I Do. I had the pleasure of helping these two every step along the way from venue selection to assembling the perfect vendor team to execute their vision.

Wanting a fun and romantic day, I loved bringing in incredible vintage furniture from Classic Vintage Rentals along with life-sized pinwheels which truly provided for a whimsical wedding day.

For the bride, her vision for her reception was a beautiful clear tent full of lights to provide the perfect atmosphere for each and every guest. We were so lucky to have the team from Pacheco’s to string every strand of lighting the couple provided in their tent, on a branch of a large tree in the property and in the Tea House.

The day was just a dream for our couple and I am so lucky to have found not only great clients but lifelong friends.

You never know just how small our world is until it hits you. For me it didn’t take long in my first conversation with Jess that we indeed knew each other as I served as her sorority advisor at WSU several years back.

Another instance of how small our world truly is when her and Nick showed up to one of my weddings only 3 weeks before their said their I Dos. It was so much for them to see us in action before their big day and to hang out.

I loved working with Jess for so many reasons. She was so organized especially in her décor plans. She provided us with a great photo binder oh how she wanted her centerpieces set-out for her romantic themed wedding complete with drippy candles, lush floral and greenery.

One of my favorite highlights of their wedding was the display of family dresses. It was truly a beautiful testament to their moms, grandmothers and great-grandmothers to share their stunning gowns.

Wedding Hot Trends: Dessert

Are you looking to spice up your wedding dessert? Or are you not a cake person? Why not try a dessert table. Dessert Tables are great because you can get a variety of bites and satisfy every guest’s sweet tooth. Either go with a theme like all white desserts for your winter themed wedding or all pumpkin flavor for fall, you cannot go wrong.

Here are some helpful tips when creating the perfect Table:

· If you still want to have a traditional cake cutting, have a small cutting cake.

· How many: The rule for dessert bars: each guest should get 2-3 pieces of dessert. Have a variety of 3-7 kinds of dessert.

· Have a designated time (and sign) when the dessert bar will open, and if possible, have someone "guard" the area to make sure no one sneaks by to grab them! Trust me this happens more often than you think.

· Make sure to have place cards for each dessert so guests know what they are!  This is especially important if anything contains nuts or other ingredients that people may be allergic to.

· Make sure to have enough platters of all shapes, size and heights so your table looks put together.

· Have to-go boxes to send home treats with guests, makes for a great favor.
