Kaitlyn and Alec both graduated from Washington State University. And, if you’ve been following us for a while, you know that WSU holds a special place in our hearts (Go Cougs!), so we were thrilled to be a vendor on their special day! We had a fantastic team of vendors for their wedding day. Their venue was the stunning Laurel Creek Manor. This venue is nestled on a country road in Sumner, Washington. One of the many reasons we love this venue is for its charm. The white features of the historical home and the green, lush, gardens create such an elegant space to hold an intimate affair. It offers an outdoor space, with an arbor for the ceremony, a tented space for the reception, and a beautiful patio to dance the night away, under the stars.
Kaitlyn and Alec chose unique details for their wedding day. We tied in the venue’s lush green scenes, into the reception. Tables were draped with greeneries and gorgeous centerpieces filled with white and black anemones, white hydrangeas, thistles, white roses, and dusty miller. Taper candles provided an alternative to pillar candles and set a romantic tone. Vintage-themed glasses, with hints of blue adorned the reception tables. We love the romantic feel of their wedding day! It created an intimate space that provided warmth. The couple chose macaroons, by Lady Yum, for their dessert menu. These macaroons were not only beautiful, with a wide array of flavors, including toasted coconut, honey lavender, toffee, lemon, chocolate mint, and more. It was a nice detail, that was an ode to something the bride and groom enjoyed.
At the end of the night, the couple had a grand finale – and we mean grand! The couple surprised their guests with a firework show, the perfect way to end the night, and a fun way to begin celebrating the Fourth of July.
