We love ourselves with a good love story. Ally and Kolby are the definition of young love. They were high school sweethearts and we were lucky enough to help them tie the knot. One of our greatest joys is that we are able to support and help our very own team, at Elegant Affairs, at their wedding. I cannot tell you how many memories we’ve made coordinating and planning alongside our wedding assistants. Ally was one of our wedding assistants. We were absolutely delighted that she asked us to be a part of her special day. One of her great talents is hand lettering. She made sure to put her talents to work and showcase her beautiful lettering at her wedding day. Ally made all of the signage and created all of her items. How amazing is that?!
The design of this wedding was literally enchanting with a rustic twist. The venue was the historical Longmire Wedding & Event Barn located in Yelm, WA.. We loved the organic scenery at this venue location. This venue is nestled in Thurston County, Washington and features a historical barn that was built in 1901. It offers a rustic, but charming feel. Color hues in green and white adorned the ceremony and reception space. The charm of the barn allowed the florals and warm lighting to shine through. Florals, created by the talented Loveleigh Blooms, focused on fresh greenery, including a lush altar for the ceremony and garlands on the reception tables. Ally and Kolby chose long rectangular tables for the reception space that provided a rustic/farmhouse feel. We loved Ally and Kolby’s choices around design, simple in colors, but the floral design truly stole the design show. Their design choices also allowed the venue to shine through.
But, hands down, the best part about their wedding reception was a cotton candy bar. Who doesn’t love a cotton candy station? It was a fun, interactive alternative to the typical dessert bar. And folks, the pictures their photographer, Wild Felt Photography, captured are charming to the max.
We always love celebrating with our team at Elegant Affairs. Ally and Kolby’s wedding was no exception. It’s always a pleasure for us to send those we love down the aisle to say “I do.” Congratulations Ally and Kolby!
