Mary and David celebrated their big day at two of our favorite, timeless venues. In today’s wedding industry, having two locations is becoming rare. More couples are opting for venues that can share both the ceremony and reception. But some couples still opt to have their ceremony and reception at two different locations.
Mary and David chose beautiful St. Pat’s Church, in Tacoma, to say their “I do’s.” The church is a historical venue that was built in 1892. The column and archways are the perfect backdrop for walking down the aisle. Mary’s bridal gown reflected the elaborate delicacy of the church, lace sleeves and a classic silhouette. Once their nuptials were complete, the guests and wedding party headed to their reception venue, Foss Waterway Seaport, in Tacoma. This venue carries unique touches, just like the couples ceremony venue. Large, glass, modern windows allow the sunset to flow through the reception area and our couple chose simple, yet modern decor to accunate the beauty of the venue. The venue in itself, has plenty of character and pays homage to the long history of Tacoma’s industry on the water.
Guests’ reception tables were adorned with fresh greens and white roses. Pillar candles filled the room with warm ambiance. One of our favorite touches from this reception was the thoughtfulness involved in each decision the couple made. Mary and David wanted to recognize the people in their lives who were no longer with them. The table was filled with memories of loved ones who the couple held near and dear to their heart. We love seeing personal touches in weddings, such as these. It allows you to share a piece of your heart with your guests and for your guests to learn more about you as a couple.
Mary and David’s wedding was a joy to plan. It was a timeless affair that featured their love for each other and their love for their family and friends.
