Intimate Affair | Hidden Meadows | Lindsey + Mike

It is difficult to describe just how amazing Lori is! Lori coordinated our wedding and it was the second time my family has worked with her. We will never plan an event without her in the future. She is organized and has great attention to detail. My husband and I were able to completely enjoy our day knowing that Lori had it all handled. Lori created a checklist for us to complete to make sure we had all the important items like a marriage license and all necessary permits for the big day. She wrote us a timeline for the day of so everyone knew where they were suppose to be and when. Lori was very responsive to the many emails we sent prior to the wedding day. Our day was perfect thanks to Lori!

It’s not every wedding where you get to work with the most incredible family with not one but 2 weddings in less than 10 months apart.

Lindsey + Mike wanted a small intimate affair for their midweek August wedding at the stunning venue Hidden Meadows and that’s just what we gave them.

Working with these two was so much fun and easy as they knew exactly what they wanted, which was a simple, yet elegant and romantic FUN wedding.

From a beautiful ceremony officiated by the groom’s brother, to the stunning florals by the groom’s aunt, the summer evening could not have been more perfect!

My two favorite highlights from the day was my best Furry Friend, Fitter, the Father of the Bride’s service dog dancing with the wedding guests to the incredible cream puff display by Jessica of BB Nest Bakery. Fun Fact, Jessica was a finalist on the Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship.

You know you are part of the family when the father of the bride said he had to think of a party, possibly his retirement party for you to plan next.

Under the Sea || Seattle Aquarium || Tania + Brian

From the beginning, I, more than my husband, wanted a wedding coordinator. It was going to be a big wedding at the Seattle Aquarium so I was perfectly happy to outsource most of the arranging and coordinating to a professional who has done and seen it all. This is what I found in Lori Losee (owner and senior planner of Elegant Affairs) who, by the way, is one of only 7 preferred coordinators in the aquarium’s list. She was extremely responsive, flexible, detailed, highly organized, while managing to be creative and positive throughout the whole process. She reviewed all our vendor contracts, created detailed timelines, did the coordination with our different vendors, while gently reminding us to take lessons for our first dance.
So after 8 months of planning, the day of the wedding came and it was amazing. Talk about sticking the landing! Our families and friends were wowed by the event and the venue. And my husband and I were in the moment to take it all in and enjoy it. The success of the day is due in no small part to the work of Lori and her team. If I didn’t hire Lori for the wedding I would have needed and been forced to hire a therapist. It was vastly more fun hiring her. So don’t hesitate, book her today!

We love hearing the stories of how our couples met and fell in love and Tania + Brian’s love story was a first for us. The reason why these two met was through a matchmaker and they were meant to be together. They had their inagural date at Seattle’s London Plane and as an ode to where they first laid eyes on each other they went back on their wedding day and it was simply magical.

Tania + Brian wanted a fun and memorable way for their family and friends who came from all over the world to remember their wedding day and choosing the Seattle Aquarium was the best way to do that. What guest wouldn’t love a waterfront wedding ceremony or being up close and personal with marine life? And for their 200 guests they were truly treated like royalty on this August night.

When it came to designing the wedding, Tania knew she wanted a bright bold linen and red was her choice and it was best choice for this venue. Then came the beautiful centerpieces created by Oak + Fig Floral.

One of our highlights of the night was the incredible dessert bar, complete with a wedding cake created by Better Than a Boyfriend Bakery. The cake was the vision of the bride which featured a Phoenix and a Dragon.
