Becky and Joshua would have never thought their wedding day would set a record.

The record in fact they did shatter was getting married during Seattle’s heatwave. These two said I Do in 113-degrees but that didn’t deter them to have their dream wedding.

With that we were dealing with in the world, I truly admire the bride who is an oncology nurse, and I wanted to really make sure she and her groom had the wedding they had been planning for so long.

From a misting machine to a misting tent sprinkler, these two did everything to keep their guests cool during their special day!

One of my favorite memories from their wedding day was their ceremony. From their dog, Molly, escorted down the aisle by the groom to the ceremony officiated by a longtime friend of the bride, Pastor Dan Shaw to the beautiful memorial of the bride’s mom created by her father for what would have been her chair.

Their wedding guests were such troopers dealing with the extreme heat a true testament to just how loved Becky and Joshua are. The night flowed into a fun dance party before the newlyweds departed under a sparkler grand exit.

Even though their wedding was postponed due to the epidemic, these two lived happily ever after.

Dionne has always held a special place in my heart because I originally met her when she worked at Port Gamble Weddings several years ago, and we stayed in touch ever since. It wasn't long after Chris proposed that she reached out to me and asked me to be her wedding planner, which I gladly accepted!

No matter what obstacle was thrown their way over the course of more than 2 years of planning, they never let anything stop them from having their dream day! There were a few points weeks leading up to their wedding we weren’t even sure where we were going to be at, but lucky for them, our state opened up and they could have everything they wanted just like they had originally planned! It was no small feat for them and their vendor team to be ready for anything.

Dionne was a dream client coming from the wedding planning business, knowing precisely what she wanted and having reasonable expectations when it came to her vision and her wedding. Her linen choices were the only component of her plan that changed, and I believe that was the best alteration she could have made.

One of the best moments from this perfect day was during the ceremony when Dionne’s uncle (the brother of her father who passed away a few years ago) along with his incredible barbershop quartet sang a beautiful son to honor his niece. It was such a moving tribute and there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd and there was no doubt that Dionne’s dad's presence was there for his only daughter’s day.

To cap off the night, guests were treated to a spectacular fireworks display, thanks to their venue, Laurel Creek Manor.

I have so many great memories from this beautiful May day.

Courtney and Jade was the first couple we met with in person since the pandemic started. It was such a sense of normalcy when we met with these two along with their moms planning their wedding. Not knowing what their wedding date looked like so we planned for everything and I mean everything.

Luckily, these two were able to have the wedding they had always wanted including a beautiful ceremony officiated by the bride’s uncle.

I really fell even more in love with this couple during their rehearsal when we all bonded over our love of the Seattle Mariners. Their love of our baseball team continued with the best Father of the Bride toast when he talked about the 1995 season and the birth of his daughter. It was for sure a tear-jerker, even if you weren’t a baseball fan when you listened to the love this father has for his daughter!

After an incredible dessert table by Jenny Cookies (this is a must-have dessert option for an occasion). Then a fun dance party ensued before the couple headed off on their dream honeymoon.
