Roche Harbor Resort | San Juan Island, WA. | Clint + Teresa

Hiring Lori and Elegant Affairs was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for planning and wedding coordination. She is a wealth of information, years of experience and just fun. She took the stress out of the day and honestly we enjoyed planning the wedding with her help. My whole goal for our wedding weekend was to hand over the reins to our wedding planner to maximize distressing the event and being present for the day. Lori exceeded these expectations. She had great ideas and recommendations for vendors and helped us navigate the sometimes daunting task of wedding planning throughout the year. I really cannot thank her enough for helping to make our day as near a fairytale as it could be. Strongly recommend Elegant Affairs if you are looking for the best wedding planner to plan your big day.

The best way to best describe Clint + Teresa’s October Wedding was the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. For a couple where a majority of their guests came from across the county, these two really wanted to show off why they love Washington and all that it offers so choosing Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island was a no-brainer.

As newer residents of Washington, a place where they met and fell in love, Clint and Teresa wanted a truly PNW inspired wedding and we loved helping to execute their vision and they found the best destination venue.

We love Roche Harbor for its obvious beauty and charm but the venue has to much to offer when it comes to weddings especially in the fall, but one thing we weren’t expecting was the rain.

But as they say rain on your wedding is a good sign and that’s why as a Seattle Wedding Planner we always have a Plan B and even a Plan C.

Monitoring the weather on the island can be a tricky one, but we were overly prepared so when the decision had to be made to move the ceremony indoors we were ready and to be honest I feel like it was more suited for this couple. Marrying in front of the fire with beautiful florals and candles provided the perfect PNW romantic backdrop.

One of my favorite decor pieces that Shane and his crew from Oak + Fig Floral did was the greenery covered ceiling and the elaborate tablescape of moss, greenery, candles and tree stumps.

Clint + Teresa were just a dream couple to work with and had the perfect PNW destination wedding.
