Marsala seems to be born for the autumn spotlight. It is a deep burgundy red that nestles so comfortably amongst the colors of the changing leaves. Burnt oranges, chocolate browns, warm greys and golden yellows are a given when it comes to choosing a palette. What I love about some of the examples below, though, are the non-traditional pairing of powder blue. I love the pale blues and off-whites of the mini pumpkins below that bring a softer feel to the dark marsala. I think this is an excellent choice if you want to stray from a traditional fall palette. I, however, LOVE the natural colors of the fall and think a traditional autumnal palette is just so lovely. (It's my favorite season, so I guess I'm biased!)
The photos below highlight some of my favorite examples for utilizing the beauty of marsala. Even though I'm not the make-up and fashion blogger-extraordinaire, I can't help but find such inspiration from those cozy knit shawls, the velvety textures of some of those bridesmaids dresses, and those dapper gents with marsala-accented suits. And do I even have to mention the lip color on Miranda Kerr down there? Gorgeous!
Hope you fall in love with marsala for fall! Happy Sunday, everyone! :)
