The Foundry/Maroni Meadows (City vs. Country)

Today we want to highlight two of our favorite venues from different ends of the spectrum; The Foundry and Maroni Meadows. The Foundry, an urban oasis and Maroni Meadows, a wooded paradise are both two Pacific Northwest venues that Elegant Affairs has been lucky enough to experience…and this is why!

The Foundry. Located barely south of downtown Seattle, WA in the Sodo neighborhood, The Foundry began as a steel manufacturing and fabrication plant before it became an event venue. It can host up to 500 people cocktail style or be broken into multiple spaces to comfortably seat 25. It has a house AV system, floating waterfall, gas fireplace, complete kitchen, and multiple meeting rooms throughout. Not only is this a great location for a wedding, but it’s also perfect for corporate parties, meetings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and any other gathering you wish to host! The atmosphere is one of an industrial feel, combining steel, copper, and wood features. Lastly, The Foundry offers catering directly through Herban Feast which is one of the most well-known and tasty catering businesses in the Seattle area. If you’re looking for a magnificent location in the city, look no further than The Foundry.

Maroni Meadows. This stunning venue is a wooded retreat tucked away in the countryside of Snohomish, WA. Hosting 200 or more people, this space is large enough to house two ponds with fields big enough for bocce ball, volley ball, badminton, or any other games you wish to include at your event. It offers multiple locations on the property for a couple to hold their ceremony, and a more than spacious area for receptions and dancing. Two separate cabins exist at the top of the hill overlooking Maroni Meadows, one for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready, and one for the groom and his groomsmen. This location is a photographer’s dream, as it is 5 acres of lush greenery surrounded by magnificent flowers native to the northwest.  Maroni Meadows is a lovely, tranquil choice for a couple looking for their ideal countryside escape on their special day.
