Fall Seattle Wedding | Stepany + Yen | The Foundry

September 20, 2023 Lori Losee

Photographer: Jason Lucas Photo  |  Wedding Planner + Officant: Elegant Affairs | Venue: Herban Feast  | Florist: Oak and Fig Floral | Rentals: Cort Party Rental | DJ: hIntegral DJs aldjs.com/ | Photobooth: 321 Foto

We began working with Stephany and Yen at the beginning of their wedding process. They hired us for the full wedding package. When we are able to support a couple from start to finish, we find that we truly get to know couples on a deeper level. We enjoyed the whole planning process and working with Stephany and Yen! This couple had not one, but two weddings. Not only did they have a wedding in Seattle, but they also had a wedding in Taiwan, in Yen’s hometown. We loved that throughout the night, Stephany and Yen tied in their ceremony from Taiwan in fun, creative ways! Yen’s culture was also highlighted throughout the ceremony and reception. They had life-size cardboard cutouts. These cutouts also moved throughout the night, guests thought it was absolutely hilarious – we loved it!

The ceremony space was intimate, warm, and romantic. Sheer curtains draped the altar, with floor to ceiling lights, to create the perfect backdrop for Stephany and Yen to say “I do.” Our owner and lead planner, Lori, was asked to officiate the wedding. The ceremony and reception was held at Herban Feast in Sodo Park. This venue is one of our favorites to celebrate in. The venue is flexible and the space provides endless ideas for design. Herban Feast also has the option for in-house catering and their food is divine. Stephany and Yen’s wedding was a romantic event that featured hues of cold, deep red, and pinks. Oak and Fig and Floral created magical centerpieces that had touches of warmth from the floating candles and organic floral arrangements. The sweetheart table featured florals on both sides and on the table. We just can’t get enough of these floral arrangements!

The reception had an epic dance party, and guests loved how their personal selfie cutouts would randomly pop up in different places throughout the night. Congratulations Stephany and Yen!
