DIY Photo Frame Cut-Out

July 24, 2016 Lori Losee

I've seen this trending a lot more at weddings lately. In the age of Facebook and Instagram everyone is looking for a great photo to post to commemorate your day.

This is a really easy thing you can make for guests to do photos. You cans have a photographer for this or just set up it up for guests to do photos on their own. You can have multiple frames with different designs or one simple one.

You can use cardboard or thick cardstock to create your frame. You can have it for guests to hold themselves or hang it for them to be framed by. Paint it anyway you like it. Match the color to your wedding or keep it a simple and neutral. At the bottom you can add personal message like your date, names or any other message you desire.

This craft is a great way to get creative and unique at your wedding without being to time consuming or expensive.

Hope you enjoyed this! See you next Sunday!

DIY???

July 17, 2016 Lori Losee

In Seattle we can never be quite sure how our weather is going to turn out. A great way to impress and keep your guests happy is to provide things that will keep them comfortable throughout your ceremony and/or reception. There are a lot of ways to help guests stay comfortable and prepared for the weather.

If you are having an outdoor ceremony think about having shawl or blankets for guests to use. If it’s chilly or even rainy this will be much appreciated by your guests so they can stay warm and focused on your ceremony. You can find some really great cheap shawls or blankets that even match your color scheme and they will be really meaningful and much appreciated. Another thing to have on hand for a Seattle outdoor wedding is umbrellas. If it’s raining guests might have their own but if you supply matching umbrellas it will make your pictures look much nicer. But that is completely up to your preference.

Another place to think about this is beach ceremonies. Most women will be wearing heels, have some flip flops for your guests to wear during the ceremony to make it much easier for them to walk. You can also offer flip flops at your reception for guests that don’t want to dance in their heels.

These little things will make guests much happier and able to share in the joy of your big day. They will appreciate the kind gesture and be able to keep your dance floor going all night.

Check back next Sunday for another tip. Have a happy week!

DIY Program Fan

June 19, 2016 Lori Losee

Summer is fast approaching which means more outdoor weddings. If you're planning on having your wedding outdoors in the next couple months these are a great addition to help make your guests feel comfortable.

When making your program you can include a stick on the bottom and it effectively becomes a fan. This is a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

One way to make the fan is to have two different sides of the program. One side could be a welcome with your names, date, and a little about your love story. Then on another paper you could have the processional. By taking these two sides and gluing them back to back with a stick in between you have a great thing to serve two purposes.

This a great time to add elements of your theme or color scheme on both the program and even the stick. Use something that incorporates that and makes it personal and unique.

Hope you enjoyed this one, happy Sunday!
