DIY Program Fan

June 19, 2016 Lori Losee

Summer is fast approaching which means more outdoor weddings. If you're planning on having your wedding outdoors in the next couple months these are a great addition to help make your guests feel comfortable.

When making your program you can include a stick on the bottom and it effectively becomes a fan. This is a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

One way to make the fan is to have two different sides of the program. One side could be a welcome with your names, date, and a little about your love story. Then on another paper you could have the processional. By taking these two sides and gluing them back to back with a stick in between you have a great thing to serve two purposes.

This a great time to add elements of your theme or color scheme on both the program and even the stick. Use something that incorporates that and makes it personal and unique.

Hope you enjoyed this one, happy Sunday!

DIY Photo Guest Book

June 12, 2016 Lori Losee

I came across this idea at a recent elegant affairs wedding. The couple had a photo booth and incorporated the pictures into their guest book. They used some small corner stickers to frame the picture and had the guests sign by their picture and leave a note for the couple. This was something different and I loved the unique and personal touch it had.

This is a great way to make your guest book fun and really appealing for your guests. They can leave a nice message and photo to commemorate the day.

This can also be done with Polaroids. By having a photographer take Polaroids and then putting them in the book you can use the same layout. Both Polaroids and photo booth strips give a fun, classy, and vintage feel.

If you want to do small corner stickers to frame the photos you will need to set aside time to time to put this together because it will take time.

This is a great place to add a personal touch and involve your guests in part of your day, rather than just the traditional guest book where you sign your name. It's a small thing you can do yourself to add a little extra flair.

Hope you enjoyed! See you next Sunday!

These vow books are super cute and just add that personalized extra touch for your ceremony. Don’t worry about trying to memorize them or scribble them down on a napkin tucked in the bust of your dress.

With vow books you can make them ahead of time and then give them to your efficient to keep and take the stress off of you.

All you need is some paper, cardstock, hole punch, ribbons or any other cute accessories. Be Creative!

Write your vows on paper and then hole punch these pages. Two punches towards the middle will probably be best. You can make them as big as you would like or as small, depending on your nerves and eyesight. Then you can pick the decorative or simple paper for the outside.

Hole punch in the same fashion as the inside page and then thread the ribbon through the holes and tie together on the back. And there you have a vow book! You can choose to decorate the outside or keep it plain and simple. You can customize it as you wish and maybe tie in your theme or colors as well.

See you next Sunday for another DIY tip!
