Real Wedding: Lindsey + Jon

A perfect August day, crystal blue skies showcasing the Seattle skyline in the distance and a bride and groom made for each other; that's the best formula for a brilliant wedding day.

I was first introduced to Lindsey + Jon through one of our 2015 couples and they got to see first hand how we could make their day fun, memorable and stress-free which I think in turn made them feel a little more at ease when it came closer to their wedding day.

This couple was so organized which made my job super easy. We were tasked to take all of their ideas and hard work and put them into action starting with how to help make the color purple the main decor centerpiece. Their themed color along with accents of gray and cream was represented in the incredible floral designs of Laurel's Floral Decor. We just absolutely loved what Laurel came up with for the design of the arch. The flowers and draping were just the perfect backdrop for our couple to say their I Dos. We saw the purple throughout the day from the bridesmaid dresses to the men's ties, the bride's Prada shoes to the napkins and even a purple draped backdrop behind the sweetheart table.

It was those little touches that really made a different that day.  The table numbers that were hand-drawn by the groom and his best man of all the places were out couple traveled were incredible. By far my most favorite table number signs. They were done so beautifully and very detailed and were truly little pieces of art.

One of the challenges we knew we were going to face was the ceremony tent transformed into the dance party after dinner. Luckily for us the weather was on our side so after the ceremony, guests were ushered onto the patio for cocktail hour with beautiful music by the Windsong Trio while the staff at The Golf Club at Newcastle quickly broke down the chairs so Prop Gallery could come in and set-up the stunning dance floor lighting which really set the tone for the dance party.

Truly the night could not have been anymore perfect!

And then baby makes three. We are so excited for Lindsey and Jon who are set to welcome a baby girl in just a few short months!

Real Wedding: Hilary + Alex

What happens when a girl from Colorado and a boy from North Carolina meet at Duke University? They fall in love and not just over Duke basketball, then move to Seattle and start their life together and chose this city to seal their commitment to one another.

When I first met Hilary and Alex, the bride and I bonded right away when we both discovered we belonged to the same sorority and from there, our journey began over the course of the next 18 months. It was fun working alongside this couple along with their families to create the perfect wedding at The Kelley Farm.

What we truly loved about this couple was they really thought about every detail, from their own logo, to the decor details down to their beautifully crafted wedding ceremony, they truly thought of it all. And it went beyond our bride and groom, we loved how involved their families were including the fact the bride's father was able to score all of the chargers needed for the wedding and then sprayed them rose gold to match the color palette. 

By selecting the stunning The Kelley Farm, one needs not to have to do much to make this venue beautiful. For table decor, we worked with Love Blooms to create three different looks that reflected their rustic yet romantic theme using candles, lanterns, and flowers.

As for wedding must-haves, our couple only had two. The bride wanted her grandfather to sing at her wedding which he did so beautifully and the second was having a Funfetti wedding cake, which Baked! did so quite delicious.

We came away with so many memories from this day and from our time together planning, but I will say what I will most remember about this day was when our couple snuck away for sunset photos and we got to tag along. To see the love between these two along with some silliness pretty much summed up how perfect they are for one another and we are forever grateful to have played a role in their day.

Real Wedding: Dylan + Brian

Meeting at the Whitman County Jail is not the place where you tell people you met your future spouse, but for Dylan + Brian that was exactly the case. No they weren't the criminals, they just happened to be working there.

At the time, Dylan was in school in New York and Brian was in Colfax, but after their short time together they decided to continue their relationship and not let the distance get in the way. Their romance continued to blossom and culminated with their wedding at the Seattle Yacht Club shortly after Dylan graduated from grad school. 

This wedding was all about family, starting with the decision to get married at the Seattle Yacht Club. Basically growing up at Club and having her grandfather who served as a former Commodore, it was an easy decision to get married on the lawn right on the water overlooking Lake Washington. Next came the blending together of two families, as Dylan joined her new husband along with his two daughters. It was such a beautiful and touching moment with tears all around as her new step daughters welcomed Dylan into their fold.

So many things we loved about this wedding, from the step and repeat background (mug shot lineup), which was the perfect way this couple incorporated their love story and provided for a lot of laughs and some great photos and memories. Speaking of photos, we couldn't stop laughing at one point in their ceremony when the bride and groom took the time to capture the moment themselves by taking selfies.  Another favorite part of the wedding was having Smoosh at their wedding. Smoosh is an ice cream sandwich vendor with a cute cart and such delicious ice cream and cookies. We couldn't help ourselves and of course had to sample everything.

We want to wish Dylan and Brian and their daughters all the happiness in the world and we can't wait to see you later this summer.
