Real Wedding: Jessica + Josh

When we started working with Jessica + Josh for their November wedding, what we loved most was that they were all about the details; all the way down to matching the stain of the ceremony platform to the barn doors of the venue.

It was those  little details we started with and the the bride's wish to be married in the round at The Foundry. This was going to be a first for this relatively newer venue but we were ready for the challenge and so was the Herban Feast staff. Luckily for us, their amazing staff decided to try out our proposed layout during an open house and we were elated with the result, may we even say relieved that it actually worked and turned out perfect. The next step was having a round platform constructed for the couple and their officiant to stand on. Jessica's staff created this beautiful piece of artwork that matched the already existing barn doors. To accent the platform, Sal Floral Design added a stunning floral garland around the circle and then we added cylinder vases with floating candles for that extra touch.

The piece de resistance was the antique lights from Vintage Ambiance. The lights not only looked great for the ceremony, but were perfect over the head table when the room was flipped for the reception. This was one of our favorite reception looks, from the three types of centerpieces to the Bon Appetite thank you card to the box of truffles to the gold flatware, it was a planner's dream.

One of the other must haves for this couple was incorporating their dog Bailey into their wedding as their flower girl. Bailey was so well behaved for the wedding after escorting Josh down the aisle, she found her spot and laid down and watched mom and dad say I Do complete with her floral collar. To showcase their love for their pooch they included a beautiful painting of her on their welcome table and dog treats as favors.

Sadly, Bailey passed away after the wedding, but what the couple treasures are the incredible photos they have of their little flower girl that they will have forever.

Real Wedding: Lucy + Kento

When you look at Lucy + Kento's wedding photos, I bet you would have never imagined that they were wed in October. We really lucked out on this beautiful Sunday at Thornewood Castle. The weather was ideal for these two as they said their I Dos in front of their friends and family.

When it came down to planning, these two wanted to keep it simple and romantic and just add to the beauty that is Thornewood Castle.  For the ceremony, the florist added beautiful pieces to the arbor and then for the reception we had centerpieces that really accented the long rectangle tables.

Every wedding we do I always have a favorite memory and when it comes to this wedding it was easy, the mother/son dance. This had to be the best we have ever seen it was too cute for this choreographed dance. Kento's mom really showed off her skills on the dance floor. It was such a crowd pleaser, definitely one for the books.

What we loved most was just how much love and support from their parents. These two have two great pairs of role models for their marriage.

Real Wedding: Kelsey + Chris

To this date, I have never met the world's biggest Seahawks fans until I met with Kelsey + Chris.  Season ticket holders I was in awe of their dedication to my favorite sports team. I remember the first time I went to their condo and was greeted with a Seahawks museum and I knew I found my soulmates, not to mention that the groom is a fellow Coug.

Besides our love for our football team, it was great to really get into the planning trenches with these two. From venue to all vendor selections I loved helping these two create their dream wedding, especially in the newer venue, Canvas.

Have I mentioned how organized these two were? From our spreadsheets to our nearly weekly meetings, it was all about the details for this wedding and there were a lot of them, not to mention all of the vendors who really worked hard to make this wedding perfect.

One of my highlights of the wedding was the S'mores Bar. In addition to an incredible dessert table complete with two vendors, a late night snack of Dick's Cheeseburgers, the couple wanted another treat for their guests. We set-up a bar with several flavors of marshmallows, graham crackers and every kind of chocolate candy you can think of. This tasty treat was the perfect pairing with the Cigar Bar.
