Your brother, childhood friend, college roommate; someone in your life is getting married and you have been asked to be a groomsman! You’ve got the personalized wedding flask and you are ready to embrace your role! In order to be the best groomsman, here are a few simple etiquette tips you should follow.
Consider the Commitment: Being a groomsman can be both a time and financial commitment. Don’t say yes until you are sure you are available for the wedding. Also, take a look at your finances before saying yes. You can’t back out after you’ve already committed!
Pay Your Way: Once you’ve committed to being a groomsman, embrace the costs. Expect to at least buy/rent your suite for the wedding and pay for your share of the bachelor party.
Support the Groom: Your number one job is to support the groom! He asked you to stand with him on his wedding day for a reason so think about the him and his bride and how you can help celebrate this exciting time in their lives!
